About Orangeburg County Council on Aging
Proudly serving Orangeburg County seniors with community-centered programs focused on wellness, dignity, independence, and meaningful connection.
Serving Orangeburg County Seniors With Purpose
Orangeburg County Council on Aging was built to address the growing need for dependable senior support services that help older adults remain active, nourished, and connected to their communities. Families across Orangeburg County often struggle to find local programs that combine meals, wellness activities, transportation support, and social engagement in one welcoming organization. OCCOA bridges that gap through three community-centered locations, county-wide outreach, and a wellness-focused approach that supports seniors beyond basic services alone. Today, that commitment continues as OCCOA expands programs, prepares for a new wellness center facility, and helps seniors across Orangeburg County age with greater confidence and connection.

Proudly Rooted in the Orangeburg County Community
Orangeburg County Council on Aging serves seniors throughout Orangeburg County through locations in Orangeburg, Vance, and Branchville. Many older adults in rural communities face transportation barriers, social isolation, and limited access to wellness programming close to home, which makes reliable local support especially important. OCCOA helps close those gaps by providing meals, wellness activities, transportation assistance, and volunteer-supported services designed specifically for older adults throughout the county. As OCCOA transitions into a modern wellness center model and prepares for continued growth, the organization remains focused on creating welcoming spaces where seniors can stay engaged, connected, and independent.
OCCOA’s work is supported through federal Older Americans Act funding, state and county support, private donations, volunteers, and community partnerships that strengthen services across Orangeburg County. The organization continues to grow through expanded programming, a new wellness-focused facility, and ongoing community involvement that keeps seniors connected to meaningful local support.
